About

As a student studying architecture at the University of Florida, I aim to discover and innovate through the process of design.  UF's design-oriented program is complete with studio work, collaboration, and analysis of the existing built environment. Through this program, I have learned to not only design practically, but to blend beauty and narrative with functionality. This mindset centered around the human experience has inspired me to explore how structures can be designed beautifully while keeping sustainability and longevity in mind.

Because of my exposure to the damaging effects of hurricanes and other natural disasters, I have taken an interest in buildings designed to withstand these events while still creating enjoyable spaces. To explore this further, I have begun research on the houses designed by John L. Volk in West Palm Beach with Dr. Vandana Baweja, an associate professor at UF's School of Architecture.

The innovative nature of design has always intrigued me, and I look forward to continuing my exploration of its endless possibilities aimed towards bettering the experiences of all people.
